Design your own personal brand
The brief was to design a personal brand identity from scratch. The starting point was straightforward: use my name. MD, the initials for Matteo Distefano, became the foundation for the logomark. From there the challenge was building a complete, considered visual system around those two letters that could hold up across any context and scale.
A personal brand has to walk a line that most brand projects do not. It needs to feel professional without feeling corporate, distinctive without being loud, and flexible enough to work across digital and print applications. The goal was a system that felt like it belonged to a designer, specifically this one.
